1985

* Jupiter Systems, Inc. (JSI) began in 1985 with two IT Consultants, Mr. Nelson Ng and Mr. Joseph Uy Jr., envisioning affordable enterprise software running on personal computers. First released in 1985, ERIC 1.0 ran on DOS and was a stand-alone system. Not long after, JSI released 2.x on UNIX and moved to client-server architecture which enabled ERIC to have a multi-user set up.
1992

* A simplified Chinese version became available and was actively marketed in Hong Kong and the People’s Republic of China thru a reseller. During this time, installation base of ERIC increased to over 400 companies in the Philippines, and about 50 companies in Hong Kong and China.

* JSI's expertise spans the breadth of business activities- from purchasing, sales, manufacturing, accounting, asset management to HR/payroll. Document management, imaging, and workflow capture the information trail in between processes and roles.
1995

* JSI commenced migration of ERIC from character based DOS and UNIX to Windows.
1997

* ERIC 3.0 was launched. At this point, ERIC installations reached over 800 companies in the Asia Pacific region, mostly in the Philippines.

* Leveraging the depth of its business process and technical expertise, JSI has also made significant inroads in the market for turn-key development projects that address customer-specific business solution requirements outside of the standard ERIC system. Two of its major turn-key projects are an HR system for one of the largest government units and a Web-based auctioning system for a local fish exchange market.

* The ERIC PDA-based Mobile Sales Force Automation (SFA) was introduced into the market. Mobile SFA automates field sales activities and seamlessly integrates into enterprise financial and distribution systems. Transaction reporting for orders, payments, deliveries, and stock movements are posted direct to the back office via Palm OS Hotsync, Windows Mobile or via Web.

* ERIC was upgraded to a full screen and multi-colored version 5.0. The new version makes user interfaces more dynamic and friendlier.
2005

* JSI Introduced the ERIC Dealer Management System (DMS) into the market. DMS covers the full range of automotive dealership activities----from marketing to vehicle sales, parts and services. DMS also includes a full ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and completely automates and integrates back office operations all the way to financial reporting.

* ERIC DMS became the official DMS Application for Mercedes Benz and Chrysler Dealers in the Philippines.
2006

* Ford Group Philippines (FGP) certified the ERIC Dealer Management System as the official automotive dealership application for the MAZDA Dealerships in the country.

* JSI goes full blast on Turn-key development services. Exclusive team was created to cater to projects that are customized according to the client’s needs. The success of turn-key development services can be seen on its wide range of development projects covering applications for rural banking, micro-finance, media-portal, insurance business, system for crewing agency, repair industry and more.

* ERIC Dealer Management Systems (DMS) was endorsed by Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) as their preferred system to its dealers during the Annual Dealer Conference.

* United Laboratories, Inc. signed an agreement with Jupiter Systems, Inc. for the implementation of the ERIC ERP system to its Distributors in Myanmar.
2008

* The JSI Turn-key services bagged a US$ 700,000.00 worth of development contract from a US Based firm to develop a web-based and pay-per-use automotive business application.

* JSI sealed a contract with its first Honda Cars Dealership for ERIC DMS.

* Mitsubishi Motors Thailand signed a contract with JSI for the implementation of the ERIC DMS across its auto dealerships

* ERIC DMS became the official Dealer Management System for Scandinavian Motors and Viking Cars, Inc., the Philippine Distributor and Dealers of Volvo Cars.

* JSI Launched the Web-based Service Management System,a web-based application for Repair and Maintenance Service Industry that covers the full range of repair activities from creation of Job/Repair Order, Assignment of Technicians, and Parts Requisition to Billing.

* The Covenant Car Company, Inc.(TCCCI), the Philippine distributor of Chevrolet Cars sealed a contract with JSI to implement the ERIC Dealer Management Systems (DMS).

* JSI introduced the PDA Based ERIC Warehouse Management System (WMS), which is a recommended materials management solution for companies that handle a large volume of inventory transactions and keep a busy dispatching operation. It also has the capability for put-away, picking, and dispatching, and cross-docking activities.

* Jupiter Systems celebrated its 25th Anniversary in the Business, making it one of the oldest and most experienced software houses in the country.

* JSI Launched the Executive Dashboard Systems (EDS). EDS is a very powerful web-based application that provides up-to-date critical information about your business, consolidated analyses of multi-company and multi-branch operations, allowing you to “slice and dice” volumes of information to come up with strategic business decisions.Presented in highly-graphical 3-dimensional graphs and images, EDS is capable of drilling down from executive summaries to the most minute detail of your business operations.
