 ERIC reaches Hi-Precision Cebu

ERIC reaches Hi-Precision Cebu

Hi-Precision Diagnostics Cebu (HPDC), one of the branches of Hi-Precision Diagnostics in the Philippines that provides modern computerized diagnostic facility, providing top quality healthcare for their customers kicked off their initiative to automate and integrate Inventory Management and Advance Purchasing processes.

HPDC uses Laboratory Information System (LIS) - a class of software that receives, processes, and stores information generated by medical laboratory. With the installation of the new ERIC system, this will speed up HPDC's business process by interfacing their current LIS system to ERIC. ERIC allows HPDC in providing a better and faster service to their customers.

ERIC helps HPDC in monitoring their purchase receipts and inventories, facilitate stock transfer between branch and sites, and speeds up the process of supplies requisition for laboratory testing.

UNILAB trusts ERIC

UNILAB trusts ERIC

An ERIC user since 1999, United Laboratories Inc. (UNILAB), one of the leading and dominant pharmaceutical companies in the Philippines availed another ERIC application - the ERIC Mobile Sales Force Automation (SFA). SFA automates field Sales Activities and seamlessly integrates into ERIC's distribution and financial systems. What was once out of reach for computerization, field sales may now benefit from increased productivity through accurate and updated posting of transactions. The system was also customized to encourage field sales compliance to UNILAB's prescribed call procedure.

With their growing number of distributors in the Philippines and the Asia Pacific Region, UNILAB utilizes ERIC as their distributors' standard Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Software in order to ensure that their products are always available for their consumers at all times. For almost a decade now, UNILAB has entrusted ERIC in making this happen!

HP Testing Tools Resellership

As part of the Nexus Group of companies, Jupiter Systems Inc. and Nexus Technologies work together

HP Testing Tools Resellership

in reselling the Hewlett Packard's LoadRunner and Quick Test Professional. HP Performance Center helps you analyze and validate the performance of your applications against business requirements and mitigate the risk associated with application deployment and upgrades. This integrated performance validation solution emulates hundreds or thousands of concurrent users to apply simulated production workloads to virtually any client platform or environment. Using Performance Center, testing teams can stress an application from end to end, applying consistent, measurable and repeatable loads, and then use the data to identify scalability issues that could impact users.

HP LoadRunner software as a component of HP performance center is used more than any other testing solution in the world today. Using custom-generated virtual users, it allows you to drive load, diagnose problems and deploy without surprises. As it drives load against the system, HP LoadRunner captures the end-user response times of key business processes and transactions to determine if Service Level Agreements (SLAs) can be met. Non-intrusive, real-time performance monitors obtain and display performance data from every application tier, server and system component, and diagnostic probes gather code-level data to isolate bottlenecks down to the SQL or method level. This combination of end-user, system-level and code-level visibility dramatically reduces time-to-problem resolution.

HP Quick Test Professional supports functional and regression test automation that addresses every major software application environment. This solution uses the concept of keyword-driven testing to simplify test creation and maintenance. It enables testers to build functional and regression test cases by capturing flows directly from the application screens using specialized capturing technology. Test experts also have full access to the underlying test and object properties via an integrated scripting and debugging environment. One of the most important topics in QTP is Object Identification. QTP uses a scripting language built on top of VBScript to specify the test procedure, and to manipulate the objects and controls of the application under test.

Unilab implements ERIC in Myanmar

Pharmaceutical giant Unilab has recently chosen ERIC to be its distribution system in Myanmar. An ERIC user since 1999, UNILAB Philippines chose ERIC because of its proven effectiveness in automating their distribution process.

Mifos and Grameen Foundation (micro finance) Partnership

Mifos is an open source and cost-effective technology for microfinance-together we can build flexible

Mifos and Grameen Foundation (micro finance) Partnership

software that enables radical growth in the fight against poverty. You will be able to select locally-based deployment and support specialists to assist with the implementation of Mifos and with maintenance support services. Without having to build your own system, you will gain a powerful, robust product, yet still benefit from greater control of the functionality. And with a global community contributing toward product maintenance, you will have confidence in the reliability, security, and support of the software.

Mifos offers an open partnership, whereby "Mifos Specialists" are the service and support channel and core to the success of the Mifos ecosystem. The Mifos community commits to providing ongoing collaboration and support to our partner Mifos Specialist network.

The Mifos Advantage

Ensures that microfinance institutions (MFI) can strongly extend their reach and expand their operations to provide loans to more people (approximately 1.6 billion adults in need of financial services) and develop new products and services.

Mifos can standardize the microfinance software using open source technology, with common functionality in areas such as management and reporting that can be shared by everyone.
Modifications can be developed in partnership with others in the microfinance world, which can rapidly increase the ability of MFIs to extend their outreach to those in need.

What is the Mifos Initiative?
Mifos is an industry-wide initiative to address the microfinance industry's information management challenge. Using the open source paradigm, we are creating a new service model that will increase access to technology for all microfinance institutions, ultimately enabling them to extend their reach to the world's poor.

At the center of the initiative is the Mifos product, a freely available world-class management information system (MIS) that provides the core functionality required by microfinance institutions. The flexibility and scalability of the product means that we'll be able to simultaneously standardize common processes, accommodate regional variations, and scale for new innovations in the future.

Grameen Foundation
Grameen Foundation's global network empowers the world's poorest people, mostly women, to lift themselves out of poverty through microfinance, a proven poverty reducing strategy. Using tiny collateral-free loans (often less than $200) and other financial services, microfinance clients build small enterprises and new futures for their families.

Grameen Foundation is providing the initial leadership and investment for Mifos. However, Grameen Foundation is committed to making Mifos an industry-wide initiative. Only with the participation and collaboration of all the stakeholders in the microfinance community can Mifos fulfill its potential. Ultimately, Mifos will be self-sustaining and managed by those who benefit the most from it.

What is microfinance?
Sometimes called "banking for the poor", microfinance is an amazingly simple, proven idea that empowers very poor people around the world to pull themselves out of poverty. Microfinance has consistently proven to be one of the most effective strategies in the fight against global poverty. Relying on their traditional skills and entrepreneurial instincts, very poor people, mostly women, obtain small unsecured loans, usually less than $200, from local organizations called microfinance institutions, or MFIs. They use these loans to start, establish, sustain, or expand very small, self-sustaining businesses. Once the loan is paid, usually within six months to a year, the money is recycled as another loan, thus multiplying the value of each dollar in defeating global poverty.

Today, microfinance institutions around the world reach a little more than 100 million people. But there are currently more than a billion people in the world living on less than two dollars a day. Clearly, microfinance has reached only a fraction of those most in need of financial services.
